Seamlessly Integrate
Shopify with Business Central

Microsoft's Shopify Connector links your online store to Business Central — products, prices, stock, customers, orders, shipments and payouts flow between both systems without re-typing.

Why it matters

One back office for your online and offline business

When Shopify and your ERP live apart, staff re-key orders, stock goes out of date and month-end means matching Shopify reports against bank statements by hand.

With the connector, Business Central stays the master for items, prices and stock, while Shopify stays your storefront. Web orders become Business Central documents and flow straight into warehouse, delivery and finance.

What syncs between Shopify and Business Central

Each area can be switched on and configured separately, so you choose which system is the master for each type of data.

Products & variants

Export items, variants, pictures and descriptions from Business Central to Shopify, or import existing Shopify products. Item attributes and metafields can be mapped too.

Prices & catalogues

Sync selling prices and compare-at prices using customer price groups and discounts, with separate catalogues and prices for B2B companies.

Inventory by location

Map Business Central locations to Shopify locations so available stock updates automatically and overselling is reduced.

Orders to sales documents

Import Shopify orders automatically or on schedule and create sales orders or invoices, including shipping charges, discounts, gift cards and tips.

Customers

Create or match customers from Shopify orders using email or phone, or use a default customer for one-off web shoppers. Customer templates set posting and tax rules.

B2B companies

For Shopify Plus B2B, sync companies, locations and payment terms so trade customers order online at their own prices.

Shipments & fulfilment

When the warehouse posts the shipment in Business Central, fulfilment and tracking numbers go back to Shopify so customers are notified.

Returns & refunds

Import Shopify returns and refunds to create credit memos, with options for restocking items.

Payments & payouts

Bring in Shopify Payments transactions and payouts, map payment methods to accounts, and reconcile them against the bank in Business Central.

FAQ

Shopify integration questions

Straight answers before you connect your store.

Is the Shopify Connector an extra add-on?

The connector is built by Microsoft and comes with Business Central online. You still need your Shopify plan and Business Central licences; Bizspoke's work covers setup, mappings, testing and training.

Which system should own products and stock?

Most businesses keep Business Central as the master for items, prices and stock, and let Shopify own the storefront content. The connector lets you choose per area, and we help you decide during the workshop.

Can we connect more than one Shopify store?

Yes. Each shop has its own settings for locations, prices, customers and posting, so separate brands or countries can share one Business Central company.

How do web orders reach our warehouse?

Imported orders become Business Central sales orders, so they appear in normal warehouse picking. With Bizspoke m-In WMS, staff pick and ship on handheld scanners and the fulfilment returns to Shopify.

We already use another ERP or POS. Can we still connect Shopify?

Yes. Bizspoke can connect existing POS and ordering platforms to Business Central through API, file import or Power Automate, so Shopify becomes one of several connected channels.
